Color Temperature Conversion Filter (Light Balancing Filter)
In the case that the color presented by some light source is same or closely same in visible sence with the color presented by the heated perfect radical cell, such heated temperature of perfect radical cell is called as the color temperature.
106 magnification of revers figure of color temperature is fixed as a unit, which is called as Mired (Micro Reciprocal Degree), and it is used as the unit for the capacity of color temperature conversion.
For example, if the color temperature of original color from the light source is K1 and color temperature of such original light through some filter is K2, the capacity of color temperature conversion of this filter can be given in the following formula.
This value means that for the ambor color filter (LA series) it becomes plus and decrease the color temperature, and for the blue color filter (LB series) it becomes minus and increase the color temperature.
There is a formula in the relation between the capacity of color temperature conversion of filter and the thickness of the filter.
If required some color temperature conversion filter, which is not listed in this page, it is decided in accordance with above formula.
The change of capacity brought by the melting can be compensated by the adjustment of the thickness of the filter.

- B-R Conversion Capacity.It is restricted of the color temperature conversion filter, which is designed to be used for the color temperature adjustment in the normal photography, in JIS B7125 clause. The capacity of the colour temperature conversion can be given from the following formula.

- Average value (%) of transmission rate in wavelength 610 nm, 635 nm and 655 nm.
- Tb
- Average value (%) of transmission rate in wavelength 405 nm, 435 nm and 465 nm.
Light balancing filater is characterized by having gentle transmittance curve within the visible range, so it is widely used for color temperature control when photographing. Color temperature conversioning capacy can be adjusted according to the filter thickness. Please contact with us for details.
